These are the facts we never want in fine print. They appear in the footer of every page, and this page explains each one.
The four disclosures, word for word
- WhyFill is a private company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency.
- Blank forms and official instructions are available free of charge from the issuing agency (e.g., uscis.gov, travel.state.gov, your state DMV).
- You must review, sign, and file the completed form yourself and pay any government filing fees separately. Our fee covers form-preparation software only.
- WhyFill is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. This service is not a substitute for an attorney.
A private company, not a government agency
Nothing on this site comes from a government. Our name, logo, and pages are not government materials, and we do not act for any agency.
Blank forms are free from the agency
Every form we work with is published free of charge by the agency that issues it, together with the official instructions, at places like uscis.gov, travel.state.gov, or your state DMV website.
What you pay WhyFill for is the preparation: plain-language questions, your answers placed into the real form, and a file ready for you to review and sign. If you are comfortable filling in the form yourself, get it free from the agency.
You review, sign, file, and pay the government fee
We do not file anything for you. You check the completed form, sign it, and send it to the agency yourself. Any government filing fee is paid by you, separately, to the agency. Our fee covers the software only.

WhyFill is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, and this service is not a substitute for an attorney. We explain what fields mean. We never tell you whether you qualify, which form to choose, or what answer to give.
If your situation is complicated, if an application of yours was ever denied, or if you are unsure which form applies to you, talk to a licensed attorney before you file.
State restrictions on immigration forms
At launch, checkout for immigration forms is not available to residents of New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, New York, and California. These states have their own rules for immigration-assistance services, and we will not sell there until we meet them.
Everything else stays open to everyone in those states: browsing the catalog, reading the guides, and using the free blank-form links. Forms that are not immigration forms, such as DMV, passport, marriage, and vital records forms, are not restricted.
If you live in one of these states and need an immigration form, leave your email on the form's page and we will tell you when we can serve you.
Previews show the real thing
The watermarked preview you see before paying is the same filled form you download after paying, minus the watermark. What you check is what you get.
