Payments
Government fees vs. the WhyFill fee
Two different fees come up when you file a government form. They pay for different things, and they go to different places.
Two different fees
The government filing fee goes to the agency that processes your application. The WhyFill fee pays for the software that prepares your form. One never covers the other.
Why both exist
Blank forms are free, but most agencies charge to process them. That money goes to the government and never touches us. Our fee pays for the preparation work: plain-language questions, your answers placed into the right fields, and the finished PDF.
What you pay us
Our fee is shown before you pay, per form or per pack, as a one-time charge. There is no subscription.
If you paid but have not downloaded your final PDF yet, we refund you in full. After that, contact us and we will look at it case by case.
What you pay the agency
Each form's page lists its government filing fee, labeled clearly. You pay it directly to the agency when you file, and some forms are free to file. When they are, we say so.
