Getting started
Where to get blank forms free
Every form in our catalog is published free of charge by the agency that issues it, with the official instructions. These are the places to get them.
The official sources
Always download forms from the agency itself. Third-party sites sometimes charge for forms that are free, or hand you an outdated edition.
- uscis.gov
Immigration and citizenship forms from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Every form and its instructions are free.
- travel.state.gov
Passport and visa forms from the U.S. Department of State.
- usa.gov/motor-vehicle-services
The federal government's directory of every state's DMV website, for driver's license and vehicle forms.
The honest version
If you are comfortable filling in forms yourself, you do not need us. The forms and the official instructions are free, and many people file on their own every day.
We exist for the people who look at a 14-page government form and would rather answer plain questions in their own language. If that is you, we are here. If it is not, the links above cost nothing.
